NSW will have drug checking services at 15 festivals!

But still none for the wider community..

It’s safer to know what you’re in for. But you can’t always see what’s hidden, everyone needs a way to check for danger.

The NSW Government just made festival pill testing permanent. That’s a big win, one Unharm supporters have campaigned for, for years! This service will save lives.

But most people who need to check won’t go to any of those 15 festivals. If you’re at a house party, don’t want to go to a festival, or can’t afford it, nothing has changed. Right now, you would still have no way to find out what’s hidden. 

We are calling on the NSW Government to provide drug checking services for the wider community in NSW, without the festival paywall! A trained health worker, a place anyone can walk into, so no one gets left to guess what’s hidden, people stay safe, and parents can sleep better at night.  The Health Minister has taken one step. Now he needs to take the next one, bring down the paywall and open drug checking up to everyone in NSW who needs it.

Polling shows that two in three NSW voters already support pill testing. Your MP doesn’t know that unless they hear it, which is why they need to hear it from you. The more of us who speak up, the more they will pay attention.
