Families fighting fund for a safer future
“I want to make sure that everyone who goes to a music festival gets home safe.”
Every parent, friend, brother or sister wants their loved ones to come home safe from musical festivals and parties, but right now people who are planning to use drugs can’t get access to the information they need to make a more careful decision.
The NSW coroner's report has been officially released, and the evidence tells us implementing pill testing, ending strip searches and the use of police dogs at festivals would save lives.
Instead of listening to the families, the Coroner, and other experts calling for pill testing and sensible reforms, Premier Berejiklian has stuck by the same tired line about zero-tolerance policing - putting more lives at risk as we approach the Summer festival season.
Adriana has a powerful plan to bring together families and friends who have unnecessarily lost loved ones to overdoses at festivals to speak out as effective advocates for a commonsense approach to drug policy, and support each other in their shared grief.
Your support can help elevate the voices of families, friends and experts in this debate and make sure we are heard by politicians and the media. Can you chip in to our fighting fund at this critical moment?
